Joey's Cafe Wray Castle Ambleside 23rd December 2022

Joey's Cafe is a 100% vegan cafe in the grounds of Wray Castle and is one of my all time favourite places.   The cafe has a lovely chilled feel to it, with lots of cosy seating areas and plenty of outdoor space with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and Wray Castle, which is definitely worth a visit too.

The ever changing menu includes soups, stews, sandwiches, a great choice of cakes, coffees, teas, cold drinks, ice cream and a small selection of vegan products available in the shop.

On our latest visit we ordered Bam Bam toast and large Americano coffees and it was perfect after a long walk.   What a fabulous combination of flavours, sourdough toast, peanut butter, banana, toasted coconut flakes, dessicated coconut, cacao nibs and maple syrup, it was heavenly.

If you visit the Lakes and are in the area do not hesitate to visit Joey's Cafe, you will not be disappointed.   Highly recommended.
