1001 Saveurs de Sauvage 3 Rue des 3 Marie Ajaccio 25th April 2023

1001 Saveurs de Sauvage is a 100% vegan and gluten free restaurant and is an oasis in Ajaccio, which is a bit of a vegan desert and was a great find.   If we had known how busy it was, we would have booked a table, so had to sit outside and luckily the weather was on our side.

The menu changes dependent what produce is delivered and thankfully they had a menu in English, as our French is non existent.

We ordered a hazelnut, chard and cauliflower pie and sweet potato waffle with a large bottle of mineral water, as it was quite hot and we were thirsty.

The food was amazing and a delight to eat, with lots of textures, flavours and freshness and amazingly all gluten free as well as vegan.

Who could decline dessert when we were brought this menu, it was impossible to resist,, so we chose a chocolate blondie and creme praline.

The blondie was so light and made from chickpea flour amazingly, it was chocolate heaven on a plate and the creme praline was just as fantastic, what a way to finish the meal.

We had a chat with the owners, such lovely people who were so passionate about their love for food and it showed in their cooking.   We would go back to 1001 Saveurs de Savage in a heart beat.   Highly recommended if you are ever visiting Ajaccio.
