Earthlings Darwen Road Bromley Cross - 6th November 2022
Earthlings is an organic plant based cafe, offering lots of gluten free options and food to feed the body and the soul. I originally thought Earthlings was vegan, but they serve dairy milk for drinks, maybe pressure from customers not happy to drink plant milks. There is a seating area outside for when the sun shines and it is advisable to book a table, as it gets very busy especially at weekend. I booked for Sunday lunch time with Steven, two friends and their labrador Gordon.
The menu has a great selection of dishes, with a daily specials board and an extensive sweet treats menu, so choosing was a tad difficult.
We chose corn chips and dips and chilli loaded nachos, beautifully presented dishes, ideal for sharing and absolutely delicious.
Main courses were massaman curry, masala flatbread, nourish bowl and woodland chestnut bake (although I forgot to take a photo of this last dish).
Mains like our starters were a picture on a plate, colourful and mouth watering, we enjoyed every delicious mouthful and left clean plates.
We ordered teas and coffees including two of the hot drink and mini dessert options of gooey chocolate pot and brownie bite.
The desserts were better than they looked, if that's possible, decadent, lush, chocolatey and totally scrumptious and finished off what was a fabulous lunch.
I loved everything about Earthlings, it was an oasis of calm and the food exceeded expectations, it was better than all the reviews I read and all homemade with love, so look forward to my next visit. Highly recommended.
