Fellinis Church Street Ambleside 1st March 2023

Fellinis is a modern fine dining restaurant in Ambleside, with a great selection of vegan dishes, the majority being gluten free and I always visit when in the Lake District.   Fellinis also doubles as a small cinema and you can buy a dine and film deal, which is very popular with tourists and locals alike.

We were shown to one of the circular booths, which normally seat four, so we had plenty of space to relax and dine.

The wine list has clearly labelled vegan wines, beers and non alcoholic drinks and the food menu changes regularly, so you never get bored with the choices.

We chose marinated aubergine with green tahini sauce and warm artichoke salad to start and the dishes were delicious, perfectly seasoned and quickly polished off.

Main courses were miso tofu steak with rosti potato and preserved lemon and mint risotto, with sides of sweet potato wedges with garlic mayo and a side salad.

My photos speak for themselves, presentation was beautiful and the food was gorgeous, it did not disappoint.   I love risotto and the flavour combination was brilliant and Steven thoroughly enjoyed his tofu steak and the sweet potato wedges and salad were great accompaniments.

We shared a dessert of poached pear in spiced red wine sauce, lemon sorbet and walnut praline, a wonderfully refreshing and delightful dish to finish the meal.

We finished what had been a faultless meal with a cracking cup of decaf coffee and felt happy and well fed.

Fellinis is by far my favourite restaurant of all time, I absolutely love the place and always look forward to my next visit.   Fellinis is an elegant yet relaxing place to dine, serving wonderful food and service from manager Nenad and his team is always excellent.   Highly recommended.
