All Bar One King Street Manchester 23rd February 2018

All Bar One Manchester, is a buzzing bar and I have visited several times, but only for drinks, although I have eaten at their Liverpool branch for Veganuary last year, see here.

All Bar One has once more offered a vegan menu in January and February, along with a vegan drinks menu, but I hope they make it a permanent fixture.

I kicked off  with a glass of Skinny Prosecco which is totally vegan and low calorie and I really enjoyed it, whilst I perused the menu.

I ordered padron peppers sprinkled with loads of Maldon salt and tempura mushrooms for Steven to start and both dishes were absolutely delicious.

We had a bottle of Not Your Grandma's Riesling from Australia, to drink with our meal, would love to know the story behind the name, a delicious wine though.

Main courses were miso rice bowl and rainbow wrap with sweet potato fries,  the miso rice bowl is Steven's favourite, he had it in Liverpool.

The dish is served with sticky rice, with lovely crisp vegetables and pea shoots, bursting with flavour and Steven said it was a satisfying dish.

The wrap was good, but slightly lacking flavour, it was missing something like chilli sauce and I think the artichoke was tinned, as it was quite watery, I prefer chargrilled artichokes in oil, however the fries were fantastic.

Overall though we enjoyed our visit to All Bar One and it is brilliant they have gone to the trouble of not only vegan food options, but also drinks, which can be a nightmare when you are dining out and you have no clue as to suitable wines.
