Aroma Cafe Bridge Street Lyme Regis 7th May 2018

Aroma Cafe offer everyone good tasty grub, as they quote on their website, whilst anyone with a dietary requirement, are not just treated like an afterthought.   They are passionate about using local ingredients and offer breakfast, brunch, lunch and cakes in a really cosy, chilled atmosphere.

There is plenty seating, although from the front the cafe only looks small, but there is a cosy room to the rear and we found it easy to get a table.

There are plenty vegan options on the menu too and they are happy to adjust dishes to suit, you just need to ask.

My first visit was for tea and cake after a long walk and what a difficult choice, but sticky ginger won on this occasion.

The cake lived up to its description, just the right amount of stickiness and ginger flavour, moist, delicious and perfect with a pot of peppermint tea and a generous portion too, but I managed to polish it off.

I will be going back for vegan breakfast or brunch before I go home, although I will question the use of honey in a dish labelled vegan like the porridge.
