Faringo's Vegan New South Promenade Blackpool 7th April 2018

Faringo's Vegan is located in The Kings Hotel and is the only vegan restaurant in Blackpool and a perfect place to meet up with our friend Ben to celebrate his birthday, along with his fiancee Helen and friend Michelle.   Faringo's Vegan is at South Promenade and was really handy as we arrived by tram which dropped us off right outside, so we only had to cross the road.

Faringo's was originally a steakhouse, but owner Paul decided to offer a vegan menu, after a vegan guest came to stay at the hotel and it was so successful, Faringo's Vegan was born.

What a warm welcome from the Faringo's team of Paul, Martina, Rachel and Vincent, you really could not have a friendlier group of people looking after you.   We had drinks in the bar and then went through to the dining room, with a lovely table in the window to watch a fantastic sunset.

The menu is varied to suit all tastes, with a good selection of pasta dishes, pizza, mains and desserts, beers and wines and they also offer vegan Sunday lunch.

I shared olives, olive oil and balsamic vinegar and fabulous ciabatta bread with Steven, whilst drinking a very nice glass of Stellar Organics rose wine.

Main course was spaghetti with tomato and vegetable ragu and basil, with optional vegan Parmesan and a side of chips, the food was excellent, although I was so full, I did not manage to eat it all and missed out on dessert.

Everyone enjoyed their meal with other dishes including carrot and coriander soup, Italian stew, seitan Italiano, gnocchi with falafels and pizza and it was a nice touch, when Ben asked to speak to chef Adam, so he could thank him on behalf of our party.

How lucky are vegans of Blackpool to have Faringo's Vegan on their doorstep, we will definitely revisit when in the area.

  1. That is so fantastic that a once steakhouse has turned 100% Vegan! From what I have heard Blackpool isn't hugely vegan friendly so a place like this could swing a visit for me. The menu looks fantastic and the pasta looks delicious. Hope you had a fantastic visit :)

  5. Yum, the menu looks great! Also, supplying olives and bread always make a restaurant 10 times better too ahaha.
