Cafe Thrive Hanover Buildings Southampton 5th September 2017

Cafe Thrive is a newly opened vegan cafe and was our breakfast stop, prior to our journey to Brighton and is modern, contemporary, with an urban warehouse kind of feel

The menu is extensive and covers all tastes, dietary requirements and appetites and they also offer takeaway sandwiches and salads.

A chiller cabinet displayed a wide variety of vegan cakes, croissants and brownies, who said vegans cannot have their cake and eat it.

We ordered gluten free breakfast for Steven and a breakfast to accommodate my allergies, but I forgot to say no baked beans, so traded them for Steven's mushrooms and tomatoes.

We loved the food so well cooked, packed with flavour and a fabulous barbecue taste to the mushrooms, absolutely delicious breakfasts.

Cafe Thrive is owned by a young enterprising couple and when we visited chef Sarah had to leave for the doctors, due to a knife injury, so we really appreciated her making our breakfasts, before she left.   We will be visiting again, when next in Southampton.
