IHO Cafe Stranmillis Road Belfast 28th June 2017

IHO was recommended by my Twitter friend Zoe Anderson, as Belfast was the last port of call on our recent cruise.   We wanted to spend the whole day in the city and needed places to dine, so I contacted IHO via Facebook, enquiring about vegan options and based on their reply, decided to visit for breakfast.

We took the City Tour Hop On Hop Off bus and luckily there was a stop just around the corner from IHO.

IHO is small, cosy and inviting, so we found a table and then had to decide what to eat, from the clear menu boards.

I chose cashew cheese and roast tomatoes on toast, whilst Steven had almond milk porridge, with maple syrup, banana and chopped nuts.

The food was delicious, I especially loved the cashew cheese and need to replicate this dish at home, as an alternative breakfast option.   Steven loved his porridge, a good sized portion and perfect to fuel a day walking around the city.

We had a chat with owner Liz, who also owns Check Out My Buns a coeliac and vegan friendly bakery and she kindly gave us two peanut butter balls, to take away for later.

I loved IHO and would love to return, as we intend to make another visit to Belfast and spend more time exploring.
